Information for Churches and Christian Employers
Many Christians desire to be able to minister to those caught up
in alcohol and/or drug abuse, but have limited human resources or expertise on just
how to effectively minister to those enslaved by addictive lifestyles. That is where
we can help.
We offer training and resources to those churches and employers
who would like to start an in-house recovery meeting on site. We can also provide
personnel to run such a meeting at your facility, be it a church or workplace. All
that would be required is a meeting room, and a coffee pot. (Ex-addicts seem to
crave caffeine!) We would staff the meeting and clean up after ourselves. Once the
meetings take off, we would even be able to offer a token "rent" for the space,
as one of the traditions in all 12-step groups states that: "7. Every 12-step group
ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions." This means
that the group takes up a collection and the money is used to purchase coffee, cups,
and pay a nominal room rent (generally about $10/week).
The second area we can be of service is The ARC. The link to "The
ARC" above gives a detailed overview of the ARC Program. The ARC is a long-term
residential treatment program (10+ months). Perhaps someone attending your company,
congregation, or someone your church or business has been ministering to, could
use an intense program like we have.
