ARC Life

Once you get settled in, the first task (if you don't have one) is to find a job. Unless you are medically unable to work, you will be required to find a job. You are responsible for your own recovery expenses. The purpose of this is not only to teach personal responsibility, but also to learn good work ethics, apply relational skills, and develop team work.

You will also have certain expectations to meet. You will be required to assist with household chores, you will be required to attend meetings and church as scheduled, and you will be expected to act responsibly - just like "real life."

Currently, that means that Sunday morning is church, Monday evening is a Narcotics Anonymous 12 Step meeting, Wednesday evening is Prayer Meeting, Friday evening is Celebrate Recovery (a Christian 12 Step Meeting), and Saturday evening is a House Meeting. Other special events happen at random times. (For example, we've gone to an all-you-can-eat pizza place, a ball-game, and a movie in the past. And there is a miniature golf course we've been thinking about!)

If you have any questions, give us a call and we'll do our best to answer them.
